Facebook Pages now get Timeline [with PICS]
Few months back Facebook revealed Timeline for user profiles. Timeline changed the way users saw each others profile and shared content. Timeline was of the view that the information be stored in a diary format. Timeline brought a huge GUI change, whole of the user profile looks were changed with the introduction of Cover on the top of the Facebook profile. A new update from Facebook now brings Timeline to Facebook pages or what we call Fan pages.
Yes you heard it right, Facebook pages will now get Timeline. The new update has been rolled in but has not been applied on all the Facebook Pages, cause Facebook want admins of their pages to first look how the Timeline for their pages affect them and modify the content according to it. For now the Admins have the option to publish the new Timeline to their fan pages or keep using the old fan pages but on March 30th your Timeline will automatically get live.
The Timeline for fan pages is the same as that for user profiles, with the introduction of a Cover at the top, which you can use to place the information related to the fan page or can put an attractive image about your fan page.
Page admins will get an additional and new option of a admin panel. The admin panel enables the administrators to change, modify or make updates to the page content without leaving the page. The admin panel is attached at the top of the page and can be hidden by pressing the hide button. The admin panel includes all the notifications regarding your page and one more useful thing is that you can directly respond to the messages without any need to goto another page.
Once you chose to publish the Timeline to your page, than you will get a notification on your page telling that Your new page design that is Timeline is now live.
