Android Jelly Bean 4.1 will be coming soon on Galaxy Nexus
Google's own Play Store has mentioned that the next version of their mobile platform Android will be named Jelly Bean Android 4.1. There had been alot of rumors floating around the name of the next Android version and now it seems to be finalized as Jelly Bean.
According to a post by a user on XDA Developers forum, Google Play displayed the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone in the cart as "The latest smartphone from Google, soon the first phone with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean".
Guys at Droid-Life managed to get the screenshot of the cart with Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ which mentions Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Google Play store.
It looks as it was a mistake because the listing about Android Jelly Bean was taken off after sometime from the Galaxy Nexus cart description on Google Play. Maybe it was a planned move by Google to give users a message that Android Jelly Bean may be released sooner than expected. However, Google did not comment on the incident but now its being expected that Google may release their mistakenly quoted Jelly Bean version of Android at the developers conference which will take place 27-29 of June.
With Apple showcasing their iOS 6 at WWDC followed by Microsoft announcing Windows Phone 8, Google may be thinking of wrapping up the year with the big release of their Androids next version at the developers conference next week.
