HTC new WP 8 phones Zenith, Accord and Rio coming in Q4
HTC is one the most important business partners for Microsoft. At the Windows Phone summit, Microsoft listed HTC as one of the Windows Phone 8 licensee. While guys at The Verge have somehow managed to get some inside details about the upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices from HTC.
It is being learnt that, Rio will be an entry level Windows Phone 8 device with a 4 inch WXGA display and a 5 megapixel camera capable of capturing 720p videos. Rio will be powered by a Qualcomm processor and will have 512 MB of RAM. Then comes Accord, which will be a mid-range WP8 phone embedded with 4.3 inch Super LCD 2. Accord will come with an 8 megapixel camera which can capture full HD videos and will sport a dual-core processor.
Next comes the Zenith, it will be the high end WP8 phone which is expected to have a 4.7 inch Super LCD2 display and will have the same 8 MP camera sensor as Accord. The phone will be powered by a quad-core processor. All the three Windows Phone 8 smartphones will be launched this year sometime in October.
HTC wants to be first of the Windows Phone partners to bring WP8 phones in the market. Even Huawei has announced their Windows Phone 8 smartphone under the name of Ascend family. As the time goes by many more manufacturers will announce their WP8 smartphones.
